The Young Enterprise Team Programme is an exciting enterprise journey for those who have mild to moderate learning difficulties or are studying for Entry Level or Level 1 qualifications.
It is designed to aid young people’s transition from education into independent living and employment by developing life skills through working as a team to set up and run a business.
The Enspire team from New Bridge, supported by the Oldham Enterprise Trust, have achieved two amazing awards this year and represented Oldham at the UK Young Enterprise Finals. The team have set up and run their own Videography & Photography business. They produce a wide variety of products from mugs to tshirts, event recordings to promotional recordings.
This year the team submitted an entry to the Best Advertisement Competition and nominated a student for the Sir John Moore’s award. The Best Advertisement Competition was a national competition looking for the team to submit a poster, flyer, presentation, screen print from a social media campaign, audio file or video. Enspire beat all other entries and won the award. The team were invited to the UK national finals to accept the award.
The Sir John Moore’s award is awarded to individual students who have made the most progress and shown the most improvement through their participation in Team Programme in each region of England and Wales. A member of the Newbridge Team, Thomas, was awarded the Sir John Moore’s award for the North West and invited to the UK Final in London as one of three entries for the National winner of the award.
