This notice provides privacy information for all users of Oldham Enterprise Trust and sets out what items of your personal information we may hold, how we collect it, why we collect it, who we share it with, what it is used for and how long we keep it.

What do we use your information for

  • To progress your application for funding via the Oldham Enterprise Fund
  • To inform organisational partners to enable them to deliver support to our clients
  • To notify you of support services and networking opportunities (where we have your consent for marketing to you)

The type of personal information we collect

 

Personal information can be anything that identifies and relates to a living person. This can include information that when linked with other information, allows a person to be uniquely identified. For example, this could be your name and contact details.

Oldham Enterprise Trust currently collects and processes the following information:

Full name

Address

Date of Birth

Telephone number

Email address

Gender (for statistical purposes)

Employment status (for statistical purposes)

Business premises name and location

 

The law treats some types of personal information as ‘special category’ because the information requires more protection due to its sensitivity. ‘Special Category’ personal information is anything related to:

  • Sexuality and sexual life
  • Religious or philosophical beliefs
  • Trade union membership

  • Genetic and bio-metric data
  • Physical or mental health
  • Criminal convictions and offences

In order to carry out our services at Oldham Enterprise Trust we may need to collect and process the following ‘special category’ personal information:

Under Article 6 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UKGDPR), the lawful bases we rely on at Oldham Enterprise Trust for processing your personal information are:

Who we obtain your personal information from

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you. However, sometimes we may obtain your personal information from other sources such as:

  • Other organisations including charities and educational establishments
  • Individuals making referrals to OET on your behalf

How long we keep your data for

 

We will only keep your personal information for as long as the law specifies or where the law does not specify this, for the length of time determined by our business requirements.

We will keep your data for –

  • 12 months from the date of the closure of your application whether because you have been unsuccessful in your bid or we have been notified that you do not wish to progress your application

(please note if you have given consent for marketing, we will continue to use your personal data for this purpose)

  • 72 months from the date of any grant funding being given by OET or beyond the length of any loan term or final repayment date of the loan

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have the ability to exercise specific rights including:

  • Your right of access– you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification– you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
  • Your right to erasure– you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to restriction of processing– you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to object to processing– you have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to data portability– you have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
