- To progress your application for funding via the Oldham Enterprise Fund
- To inform organisational partners to enable them to deliver support to our clients
- To notify you of support services and networking opportunities (where we have your consent for marketing to you)
The type of personal information we collect
Personal information can be anything that identifies and relates to a living person. This can include information that when linked with other information, allows a person to be uniquely identified. For example, this could be your name and contact details.
Oldham Enterprise Trust currently collects and processes the following information:
Full name
Address
Date of Birth
Telephone number
Email address
Gender (for statistical purposes)
Employment status (for statistical purposes)
Business premises name and location

Who we obtain your personal information from
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you. However, sometimes we may obtain your personal information from other sources such as:
- Other organisations including charities and educational establishments
- Individuals making referrals to OET on your behalf

How long we keep your data for
We will only keep your personal information for as long as the law specifies or where the law does not specify this, for the length of time determined by our business requirements.
We will keep your data for –
- 12 months from the date of the closure of your application whether because you have been unsuccessful in your bid or we have been notified that you do not wish to progress your application
(please note if you have given consent for marketing, we will continue to use your personal data for this purpose)
- 72 months from the date of any grant funding being given by OET or beyond the length of any loan term or final repayment date of the loan
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have the ability to exercise specific rights including:

- Your right to rectification– you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

- Your right to restriction of processing– you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to object to processing– you have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to data portability– you have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
Data transfers beyond the European Economic Area (the EEA)
None of your personal information is transferred outside of the UK
Automated decision making
All our decisions are made with human intervention and do not rely on automated decision making software
